The inauguration ceremony of the LUAWMS English Language Centre was held at the Faculty of Education. Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Illahi Bakhsh Marghazani, Registrar Dr. Balach Rasheed, Dean Faculty of Education Dr. Noor Muhammad Angaria, Director QEC Prof. Dr. Ahmad Nawaz Khosa, faculty members of the Department of English, and students graced the occasion.
Being one of the most significant steps in the 21st century, the English Language Centre is a remarkable initiative by the Department of English, Faculty of Languages and Literature at LUAWMS. It is dedicated to enhancing the oral and written communication skills of students and preparing them for competitive exams and professional careers through specialized courses featuring hands-on learning activities.
The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen, Dean Faculty of Languages and Literature Dr. Nasir Abbas, and Chairperson Department of English Language Teaching Dr. Firdos Atta addressed the students and encouraged them to join the newly launched courses. The Vice Chancellor lauded the dedication of the Faculty members and appreciated their untiring efforts to strengthen the academic excellence of the department.
The event concluded with a discussion on the vision, mission, and future plans of the Faculty of Languages and Literature, followed by light refreshments for the guests, faculty members, and students, marking a memorable and inspiring beginning.
