A- Functions The Department of Examinations LUAWMS came into existence in exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 18 (2) (d) (e) and (h) of Labella University of Agriculture Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS), Uthal Balochistan Ordinance No. 111 of 2005 and LUAWMS Section 4(iii) of ACT NO.IX of 2010.

The Controller of Examinations office undertakes the full range of administrative duties associated with examinations, i.e. conducting examinations of mid and final terms. Inspection of examinations, processing examination results, preparing degrees & transcripts etcMoreover, it also has to issue the semester reports after every semester, issuance of profiles of grades and notification of students’ performance to grant awarding bodies.

This also entails the communication of results, students’ progress reviews, and preparation of date sheets.The functions of the department also includes the coordination in printing of examination papers, invigilation schedules, calculation of GPA, CGPA, dealing with all matters regarding examinations and administrating the internal examination semester system. It also advises and guides the instructors and students on regulations and procedures relating to examinations.

Being the latest and modern system of the education, LUAWMS is also conducting examinations under Semester System. An academic year is divided into two regular semesters and a Summer Semester. The regular semesters are of 16 weeks (including registration and examinations). The summer semester is of 07 weeks (including examinations).

The Controller of Examinations issues Provisional Certificates and Final Transcripts (Detailed Marks Certificates) on prescribed formats to the successful candidates on request. The Degrees are issued with the joint signatures of Controller of Examinations, Registrar and the Vice Chancellor. However the Controller’s office is initiator and custodian of all related records.
