  • Bidding documents may be obtained upon payment of a non- refundable fee in shape of DD/Pay Order at the rate given in above table, from the office of Project Director LUAWMS, Uthal on any working day during office hours w.e.f 30.05.2012

 

  • Tenders must be delivered to the office of Project Director LUAWMS, Uthal till 25.06.2012 before 12:00 noon. Tenders duly complete in all respect must be accompanied by the following:
    • The Contractor / Supplier / manufacturer are required to submit a single package of their bid containing two envelops for Technical and Financial proposals separately, Each envelop must clearly be marked as Technical Proposal and Financial Proposal in bold letters to avoid confusion.

 

  • The document containing Call deposit / earnest money of 2% of the total value of bid in the form of pay order, in favour of Project Director LUAWMS, uthal.
  • The Earnest Money must be attached with the financial documents in Financial Envelop.
  • The bidder / supplier must quote the rates per unit cost including all taxes.
  • Tenders will be opened by the technical committee on 25.06.2012 at 12:00 PM, in the presence of bidders or their representatives at LUAMWS. Late tenders will not be accepted and returned unopened to the bidder.
  • The Committee reserves the right to accept / reject any tender.

INVITATION FOR PRE QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS



Scope: 
The scope of the works include Construction of various academics, communal and residential buildings and allied ancillaries etc. including all civil, electrical, plumbing, gas and net working, Construction of roads, Storm Water drains and its disposal, Construction of water supply lines, landscaping and plantation, land levelling and filling

Eligibility             
Valid registration with relevant Income Tax Sales Tax and other Federal; and Provincial authorities and Pakistan Engineering Council in relevant category with specialization codes CE01, CE02, CE-09, CE-10, ME02, ME06, EE02 and EE03 for the year 2012.

Prequalification Documents
Interested firms/contractors can obtain the prequalification documents in person from the address on submitting written application to the below mentioned office on original company letter head on payment of non refundable pre qualification fee of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only)

Dead Line for Issuance
Documents to be issued up to May 12, 2012, 2 p.m.

Dead Line for Receipt
Documents will be received up to May 28, 2012, 2 pm. No Application will be received and/or entertained after the dead line.

The Competent Authority at LUAWMS reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications subject to relevant provisions of PPRA Rules.

Applicants will be informed in due course of the results of the evaluation of applications for Pre qualifications. Only firms or contractors prequalified under this process will be invited to bid.

INVITATION FOR BIDS/ TENDERS



Sealed Tenders are invited from eligible contractors in single stage, two envelope procedure as provided under rules of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for the Construction of below mentioned and other allied works at Lasbella University of Agriculture Water Marine Sciences (LUAWMS) having registration with Pakistan Engineering Council in category C-4 for the year 2011.

  • Construction of Academic Block
  • Boys Hostel for 200 Students
  • Girls Hostel for 100 Students
  • Green Houses and Controlled Growth Chamber

Contractors/Firms who have handled similar works and have a good experience to carry out such works satisfactorily must meet the following criteria.
A)       Company/Firms profile with details of date of establishment branch offices.
B)        Details of the available equipment’s, tools, plants and machinery which the applicant firm shall apply on this project.
C)        Detail of organization including bio-data of Technical Personnel permanently employed and available on this project along with their Payroll Certificates, Staff salary and Tax Payment Certificates.
D)        Proof of financial solvency to handle a project of this size. This shall be submitted by the applicant firm in the form of Bankers Certificate issued by a scheduled bank.
E)        Proof of registration with Pakistan Engineering council, Category C-4 for the year 2011.
F)        Present workload and commitments as against the financial position of Company/Firm must be furnished in the form of documents.
G)        Income tax statement for the last 3 years along with certified copied of yearly income tax returns.
H)        List of cases entered into Arbitration/Litigation, if any.
I)         List of works where penalty is invoked, if any.
J)         Any additional information the Applicant firm may like to furnish in support of its papers.
Interested Contractors should apply separately for each of the three works to the Project Director, LUAWMS for issue of tender documents.  The tender shall be available for issue against a nonrefundable fee of Rs.10, 000/- for each of the work.  The documents will available at the office of the Project Director from September 30th 2011.

The technical and financial proposals should be sealed separately and placed in 3rd envelope addressed to the Project Director, LUAWMS.

The Tender Documents are to be submitted by November 28, 2011 at the office of Project Director, LUAWMS upto 12:00 noon, where technical proposals will be opened on same date at 12:30 p.m. in front of bidders who wish to be present.

Financial Proposals of the technically accepted bids shall be publically opened for which date, time and venue shall be communicated to the bidders in advance.

The tenders must be accompanied with a bid security in the prescribed format.  Incomplete tenders and tenders without bid security will not be entertained or considered under any circumstances.
The Competent Authority reserves the right to reject any or all the applications as per provisions of PPRA rules.
